From their office in the Mile-End Meduzarts unveiled today its participation in the highly anticipated game Thief from Eidos Interactive.
During the summer of 2013, the Eidos team approach Meduzarts to work on the reboot of the game. The two Montreal studios had previously worked together on the production of the critically acclaimed Deus Ex game: Human Revolution.
This time, the work was, however, not the same scale. Meduzarts was given a mandate to create more than eight minutes of electrifying cinematics.
“Thief was extremely ambitious. Working on three suspense filled action sequences was a challenge. But the excellent relationship we have with Eidos and their creative department has enabled us to exceed the expectations of what was possible to accomplish in a very tight schedule,” says Geneviève Boisvert, Project Manager at Meduzarts.
”Working with Meduzarts was very nice and we are very satisfied with the final result”, for his part, said Jean-Marc Pereira, outsourcing Manager for Eidos Montreal.
In addition to the cinematic Meduzarts team has also created the iconic image of the cover of the game.
This fourth installment in the series is not a sequel, but a renewal of the history of this master thief. We again follow the adventures Garrett in this steam punk universe where he must contend with new enemies where betrayal is commonplace.
